Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Parenting Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with families and children, providing guidance and support to promote healthy family dynamics.Duties:
- Meet with families in their homes, to provide education and connections to community resources to strengthen and empower families.
- Assist parents in developing effective parenting skills and strategies.
- Educate parents on physical and emotional child development.
- Implement curriculum-based programs that focus on the importance of raising children in a warm, trusting and caring household.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress made by families.Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- One year of Experience working with children and families, IE: child care provider, parent, daycare worker, preschool educator.
- Knowledge of child development and willingness to learn about community resources.
- Knowledge of English and Spanish required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Writing and computer skills sufficient to communicate with staff and clients.
- Valid driver's license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation.Up to 20 hours a week.
