What to Expect

A Warm Welcome, Every Step of the Way

Baby Bear Hugs is here to support you during pregnancy, infancy, and toddlerhood with voluntary home-visiting services designed to make parenting feel a little easier and a lot more supported.

Here’s what you can expect when you join our program:

A young girl gives a high-five to an adult woman, while another woman watches. They are sitting on a gray sofa in a room with light-colored walls and curtains.
A young boy walking through a colorful archway with two women seated on the floor, one woman handing him a toy and the other clapping in a library or play area. The arch has a rainbow of paint colors and the words 'Color Our World' written on it.

A Supportive Home Visitor

One of our trained home visitors will connect with you to learn about your family, your child, and what kind of support you’re looking for. Every visit is friendly, positive, and focused on your family’s strengths.

Activities That Help Your Child Learn

Your home visitor will share simple, age-appropriate activities that support your baby or toddler’s development. You’ll get fun ideas you can use every day to help your child grow through play.

Developmental Guidance

We’ll help you understand what skills your child is building now and what comes next. You’ll receive tools and information to support physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.

We also offer developmental screenings when you want them, giving you a reassuring look at how your child is progressing.

A Judgment-Free Space

There’s no “right way” to be a parent. Baby Bear Hugs is here to support, not evaluate.
Your home visitor is a partner, someone who celebrates successes, listens with empathy, and supports your goals as a parent.

Visits in Your Home (or Wherever You’re Comfortable)

We can meet: in your home, at a local community space, at the park, or virtually. You choose what works best for your schedule and comfort.

Consistent, Flexible Support

Visits are scheduled around your routine. You can meet weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, whatever fits your family best. There’s no pressure and no required frequency.

Resources You Can Count On

Every family is different. We can help connect you with:

  • Early childhood programs

  • Health and mental health resources

  • Local services for families

  • Community supports and parenting tools

If you need support, we’ll walk with you to find it.

Always Free. Always Voluntary. Always About You.

Baby Bear Hugs is here to help you feel confident, connected, and supported during your child’s earliest years.
You choose how often you participate, what you’d like to focus on, and what support feels best for your family.
