Northeast Nurse-Family Partnership

Support From Pregnancy Through Your Baby’s Second Birthday

The Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) is a special program offered through Baby Bear Hugs for first-time moms who are pregnant and want extra support.
When you enroll, you are paired with your own personal nurse, who will visit with you regularly from pregnancy until your baby turns two.

This program is designed to give families the strongest possible start during the earliest years of parenting.

How It Works

  • A person with long hair and a blue shirt is using a stethoscope on a teddy bear seated on a white chair with a yellow knitted blanket, in a room with large green houseplants.

    Your Own Registered Nurse

You’ll meet with the same nurse at every visit.
They become a trusted partner you can talk to openly and comfortably throughout your pregnancy and your child’s early years.

  • Medical supplies on a tray, including a blood pressure cuff, a thermometer, a stethoscope, and a digital monitor, with color-coded letter blocks reading B, A, Y, and B.

    Visits Tailored to You

    Visits can happen:

In your home, in a community space, or virtually

They are flexible, friendly, and fit around your schedule.

  • Woman holding two flyers from Nurse Family Partnership, one in English and one in Spanish, about pregnancy and newborn care, in front of a green plant.

Support During Pregnancy & After Baby Arrives

Your nurse will guide you through both pregnancy and early parenting. You’ll learn what to expect during pregnancy, how to prepare for birth, and how to care for your baby with confidence. Visits may include help with healthy habits, understanding your baby’s cues, feeding support, safe sleep routines, bonding and attachment, and postpartum well-being.
