  • Baby Bear Hugs is a voluntary home-visiting program for expectant parents and families with children ages 0–3. We provide parenting support, early learning activities, child development guidance, and connections to community resources across our nine-county region.

  • No. Thanks to the generocity of our donors, all services are completely free for every family we serve.

  • Anyone raising a child from age 0 to 5 is welcome to join. Families of all types are welcome: expecting parents, first-time parents, experienced parents, grandparents, foster parents and kinship caregivers.

  • A trained home visitor meets with you in your home, at a community location, or virtually. Visits are relaxed, supportive, and tailored to your child’s age and your family’s needs.

  • You choose. Some families prefer weekly visits, others monthly, and some just check in when they need support. Frequency is based entirely on your schedule and comfort.

  • Each visit may include:

    • Fun developmental activities for your baby or toddler

    • Parenting tips and support

    • Information about upcoming milestones

    • Help with stress management or daily routines

    • Connections to local resources

    • Space to ask questions and share concerns

    Every visit looks different because every family is different.

  • Not at all. You can choose to meet:

    • At home

    • At a park

    • In a community space

    • Virtually

    Your comfort matters most.

  • No. We believe you are the expert on your child. We’re here to offer support, tools, and information, not judgment or rules.

  • Great! We partner with families at all stages of development. Many parents simply appreciate having support, activity ideas, and someone to talk to as their child grows.

  • Absolutely. Your information is private and protected. We respect your family, your home, and your story.

  • Yes. Participation is 100% voluntary. You can pause, stop, or restart services whenever you’d like, you’re always welcome back.
